Little Brother is one of the most iconic rap groups of all time. With their soulful production, introspective lyrics, and effortless chemistry, Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh have left a lasting mark on the genre. After breaking up in 2010, the duo surprised fans with their 2019 comeback album May The Lord Watch. And now, on Monday (9/18/2023), they’ve announced even more exciting news.

Little Brother’s new singles “Wish Me Well” and “Glory Glory” dropped on Tuesday at midnight, showcasing their trademark sound and impeccable lyricism. The tracks were produced by Pumah and Conductor Williams, two of the most talented producers in the game. “Wish Me Well” is a nostalgic look back at the group’s journey through the music industry, while “Glory Glory” is a triumphant celebration of their return to the spotlight.

We wanted to bless our fans with new music to show them we’re not leaning on nostalgia. After 20 years in the game, we’re still hungry and actively working to improve our craft.

The release of the new singles marks another milestone in Little Brother’s 20th-anniversary celebrations. The duo has been touring the country to commemorate the release of their debut album ‘The Listening’. On October 7, fans in their hometown of Durham, North Carolina, will have the chance to celebrate with them in a big way. The “Made In Durham: A Little Brother Block Party” will be a day-long event, headlined by Little Brother themselves. They’ll be joined on stage by Big KRIT, The Cool Kids, and Zo! & Tall Black Guy, with DJs Hourglass and Wally Sparks on the decks.

We hear and see the requests for new music. We felt it was time. Time to show our minds are still sharp and we’re only getting sharper.

The event promises to be a celebration of not only Little Brother’s music but also their community. Hosted by comedian Sam Jay, “Made in Durham” will be a showcase of local talent, food, and culture. The block party will take place at 310 East Main St, in Durham, North Carolina 27701. The festivities start at Noon and will lead up to the performances at 3 pm. Tickets are already selling fast, so fans are encouraged to get theirs as soon as possible.
