K.Dot got back active and shook up the industry when he dropped his verse on Future & Metro Boomin’s “Like That”. Kendrick made it clear that he feels he stands atop the mountain of top rappers by himself while dismissing Drizzy and Cole. And while a lot of people think the diss was more directed at Drake, if you start to read between the lines a bit, there might have been bars more directed at Cole.
On Sy Ari Da Kid’s podcast The Sy Ari Not Sorry Show, he called it perfectly that Cole was the one who was not battle tested and it may be his time.
Apparently Cole was listening because over night he dropped “7 Minute Drill” where he is going off on Kendrick. But still you get the sense that this is light work and possibly just the beginning.
