The Return of the Legendary DJ Muggs and the Soul Assassins

And today, we have some exciting news to share with all of you.

After a hiatus of 14 years, DJ Muggs is finally back with the Soul Assassins for their third album, set to release on August 25, 2023. Titled Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley, the album promises to be an absolute treat for fans of the group, who have been eagerly waiting for new music for over a decade.

Along with the album announcement, Muggs has released the first single from the upcoming project, titled “Jokers Wild,” which features CeeLo Green. The single is an absolute banger and a testament to the chemistry between Muggs and CeeLo, who have worked together in the past on the SA albums “Goodie Mob” and “Decisions, Decisions.”

In an interview, Muggs revealed that he found the beat for “Jokers Wild” on an old cassette tape from 1998 and digitized it. After sharing it on Instagram, CeeLo heard it and approached Muggs about collaborating on the track, which the duo completed after exchanging several ideas and revisions.

In addition to the album and the single, DJ Muggs has also teamed up with filmmaker Jason Goldwatch for a cinematic movie set to release on September 8, 2023. The film, also titled Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley, was shot on location in Death Valley and promises to be an exciting visual treat for fans of the group.

It’s that time of year again! The 3rd Annual I Love My Community Cookout & Giveaway is back and better than ever. On August 19th, head on over to Murchison Marketplace to join us for a day of festivities brought to you by L3 Brand Community Alliance & Our Community Partners. This FREE event will run from 11am – 6pm at Murchison Rd Food Truck Park. Our goal is to help families start the school year off on the right foot through resources, giveaways & a celebration! Highlighting Student Success, Community Leaders that exemplify love for their community in a great way.

The community will be “Celebrating Success in Many Forms” at this year’s event. We want to honor those who have accomplished goals in their respective areas. We have an amazing lineup of guest speakers, job opportunities, resources, free food, backpacks, school supplies, hygiene products and more. There will be entertainment with live music, performances, dancing, games and more! The main giveaway will begin at 3 pm, but resources and vendor giveaways will happen throughout the event. Make sure to register for the giveaway or attendance.

This event is supported by A1 Cook Off’s Black BBQ Cook Off, where top grill masters will compete for the Championship Belt. 25% of the proceeds from the 2nd Annual Black BBQ Cook Off will go to L3 Brand Community Alliance to continue to serve the community. The cook off is organized by Mr. Bruce Yeomans, Elizabeth Stiff and planning team. Key Food Influencers, Chefs, & Celebrity judges will help decide who takes home the win! Make sure to come by and sample some delicious barbecue and support the community at the same time.

This event is about more than just free food and giveaways – it’s about bringing the community together. We believe that by highlighting student success and community leaders, we can inspire others to strive for greatness. We want to help families and individuals get the resources they need to succeed and to celebrate the achievements of those who have already made it.
