Live Nation Urban, The Roots, and the LA Phil are teaming up once again to bring an unforgettable night of music to the iconic Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, June 8, 2025. “A Roots Picnic Experience: Class of ’95” will celebrate one of the most pivotal years in hip-hop history with a blockbuster lineup featuring Method Man & Redman, Lil’ Kim, E-40, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Raekwon, DJ Quik, Goodie Mob, and Havoc of Mobb Deep, among others. Headlined by GRAMMY® Award-winning hip-hop legends The Roots, who will also serve as the backing band for the night, this one-night-only event promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, December 11 at 10 a.m. PT via hollywoodbowl.com.

The event not only celebrates the artists who defined the 1995 hip-hop scene, but also the cultural milestones their music represents. That year solidified hip-hop’s rise as a dominant force in pop culture, shaping trends, storytelling, and societal reflection through its bold and inventive artistry. Icons like Lil’ Kim and Raekwon released groundbreaking albums, while groups such as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Goodie Mob brought fresh sounds and perspectives to the genre. With The Roots’ signature jam sessions and live energy tying the evening together, “Class of ’95” promises to pay homage to that golden era of music in a way that both honors its legacy and connects with a new generation of fans.

This electrifying event follows the success of last summer’s sold-out “Roots Picnic: Hip-Hop is the Love of My Life,” which brought timeless acts like Queen Latifah, Common, and Arrested Development to the Hollywood Bowl stage. Praised by Rolling Stone as “Hip-Hop’s Greatest Festival,” the Roots Picnic brand has become synonymous with stunning performances, iconic collaborations, and surprise moments that keep fans buzzing. With “A Roots Picnic Experience: Class of ’95,” The Roots will continue to redefine live music celebration while honoring the sounds that shaped their artistry. Fans won’t want to miss this historic night under the stars.
