A Triple Threat: All Three Stages Come Alive

For the second day in a row, The Roots Picnic fired up all three stages with sets that kept the crowd moving from start to finish. Philly’s own DJ Diamond Kuts opened the AT&T Stage, bringing hometown pride to the main attraction. Over at the Plateau Stage, DJ Aktive got things rolling. And the Toyota Music Den welcomed fans with its interactive Fan Karaoke Experience—because what’s a festival without a little crowd participation?

Toyota Music Den: Where the Vibes Stayed Right

The Toyota Music Den kept the energy intimate and electric. Arty Furtado of Club 1BD, DJ Miss Milan, and DJ David of Club 1BD took turns behind the decks, giving fans a reason to stick around between sets. It was the kind of space where discovery happens and the party never stops.

Plateau Stage: From Iconic DJs to Smooth Vocals

The Plateau Stage delivered a journey. It started with a lineup of legendary selectors—Ray Bae The DJ, DJ Miss Milan, and the legendary DJ Cash Money set the tone with their turntable mastery.

Then things slowed down beautifully as Corinne Bailey Rae graced the stage with her smooth, soulful vocals. Joe Jay of Soulection followed, keeping the groove alive, before Adama Blackstone brought his signature sound. To cap off the night, none other than T.I. took the stage and reminded everyone why he’s a hip-hop heavyweight.

AT&T Stage: A Night to Remember

The main stage was stacked from top to bottom. Things kicked off with Zay Money & Capa Choir, followed by Amir Ali and KWN. Then came a standout moment: The J. Period Mixtape Featuring Black Thought and Wale, hosted by our very own Sway Calloway.

The momentum didn’t stop there. Mariah The Scientist brought her ethereal R&B, Funk Flex turned up the energy, and Kehlani had the crowd singing every word. DJ Jazzy Jeff worked his magic before the incomparable Erykah Badu closed out the entire night in legendary fashion.
