Yandel Becomes First Latino Artist to Perform Live During Pay-Per-View HBO Boxing Event

While the Cotto and Canelo fight held the boxing world’s attention crowing a new champion after a well executed 12 rounds. There was another huge victory that had taken place the same evening. Reggaeton artist Yandel’s performance at Mandalay Bay placed him in the history books as the first Latino artist to perform live at an HBO PPV boxing match.

“It is an honor to become the first artist to represent not only my country, but also my music in an event of this magnitude with major sports and entertainment figures that I truly admire. This is without a doubt a new milestone in my career and an inspiration to continue to offer my fans music.”

Thanks to his partnership with TIDAL agreement and Jay-Z, Yandel will also be the first artist of any genre to live stream a major concert event on the music streaming service.
