West Coast Rapper Quincey White Talks Growing Up + New Album ‘The 7’

West coast rapper Quincey White, formerly known as Dubb, stopped by Sway In The Morning to promote his new album The 7. The seven-track project includes hardcore songs that take the listener deep into his mind, and potential club bangers to rock to on a softer tip.

Released on Sway’s own label, OverDeliver Entertainment, the collection has mellow SoCal vibes, mixed with a flare that makes his region unidentifiable. White grew up in Athens Park, the first blood neighborhood in California. He explains that his uncle fought off Tookie Williams to ensure that Athens Park remained blood territory, making his family hood royalty.

The 25-year-old then went into explaining why he changed his rap name from Dubb to his government name. Check out the full interview and listen to his latest album on iTunes.
