You know the phrase ‘don’t sleep’ when referring to an up and coming artist in the game? Well if you’re still not familiar with Cali native Anderson .Paak I’m going to presume that you’ve not only been sleeping but you’ve been in a coma for the past few months. Rocking stages across the country and delivering un-matched soulful melodies to not only his own album “Malibu” but also providing major assists to Dr. Dre on “Compton,” .Paak (don’t forget the dot) just finished one of the biggest weekends of his career.
Starting things off on late night television .Paak took to the drums and called up ScHoolboy Q for a stellar performance of “Am I Wrong.” Letting the crowd know that it’s alright to get down on TV, .Paak and Q seamlessly serenaded the live audience with some help from the Free Nationals.
But that was only the start as .Paak took the stage at Coachella for weekend one Sunday night. Ringing through hit after hit from his latest release “Malibu” things went desert hot as .Paak brought out T.I. to performs some tracks of his own as well as a new verse on .Paak’s “Come Down” after firing off a cryptic tweet mentioning the newly signed Aftermath artist.
