Watch Alicia Keys’ Short Film “Let Me In”

Shining awareness on World Refugee Day (June 20), Alicia Keys stars in a short film titled Let Me In.

Directed by Jonathan Olinger, the almost 12-minute video shows Keys playing a mother of two living in LA, when a bomb hits and they’re forced to make their way to Mexico for safety.  The film also showcases Alicia Keys’ powerful new single “Hallelujah”.

“I was stunned when I learned that there are more refugees living in the world today than at any other point in history, and half of them are children,” said Keys. “Creating this film really allowed us to imagine, what if we were the refugees? What if we were the ones torn from the arms of our families and loved ones? How would it feel if this were happening to us?”

The end of the film encourages people to head to Keys’ We Are Here site and sign a petition to “stand as one”. Watch the touching short film below.
