Tony Sunshine Tells Stories of Big Pun & Fat Joe + Sings on the Spot

Tony Sunshine dropped by Sway In The Morning and gave us some history of his stint in Terror Squad.

Heather B reminisced on meeting Tony Sunshine in Long Island when she was called to meet Big Pun. She recalls them having a great vibe and wanting to ask questions about their culture, but refraining to do so out of fear of insulting someone.

Tony Sunshine began singing latino music as a child before discovered—and fell in love with— R&B. When he met Big Pun he sang “Forever My Lady” and was immediately brought on as Terror Squad’s in-house hook singer. He explained that Pun even gave him his moniker during a Source interview and he didn’t like it at first, but it was too late to argue.

Now the 35-year-old has a new single out featuring Axel Leon entitled “Ball Again”. Watch the full interview to hear him talk about his separation from Terror Squad and Fat Joe’s huge contribution to hip hop below.
