“Patience is not simply the ability to wait, it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.”
– Joyce Meyer
That’s how this new video-blog of Big Sean starts off. But in tears, is how it may leave you.
We all have a story to tell and not one persons journey will ever be like anyone else’s. Coming from Detroit, Michigan — Big Sean is no exception to that.
Signing in ink with G.O.O.D. Music in 2007, Def Jam in 2008, and eventually moving forward with the biggest in the game: Roc Nation (in 2014) — we should probably also take into consideration the fiasco of a year he endured last year in the Love Department.
To make a long story short, this man definitely has a story to tell. In the vlog, Big Sean states:
” You might have a thousand strikes before you hit a home run. To see the bottom means that the top is just as real, and just as obtainable. “
He goes on to say:
” I realized, you have to recognize your own process and it can’t be measured by anything but happiness. Just remember your journey is the most important part of the story, not the trophy.”
Here are some wise words on “Patience” by a man who truly gets it.
Watch this MVP talk to Sway about a few things, early in the morning. Heads up, you’ll probably want to watch the full interview, because this boy has some fire within him — he also breaks down his verse in Detroit’s new anthem, he speaks on Pusha T recruiting Lil Wayne to GOOD Music and reveals a major feature on his forthcoming album.
