Souls of Mischief originates from Oakland, California (The Bay Area). Included in the group are: Tajai, Opio, A-Plus, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Phesto, Pep Love.
People that listened to Hip Hop back then generalized The Bay area to only have one type of sound. And Souls of Mischief are responsible for changing that stigma, for the bay area. This is why they are so crucial to the game.
Well, having begun the process of the documentary in celebration of their 20 year success titled, “Til Infinity” back in 2011 — it seems that, 4 years is just the right amount of time to finally release the long-awaited film, celebrating The Bay’s beloved, Souls of Mischief.
The documentary shows how the Souls of Mischief helped usher in a whole new era of Hip Hop for The Bay, and that is definitely something to be proud of. So, Bay Area stand up!
The interview even delves into the 1994 rivalry between two legends. Releasing some information about the beef between Souls of Mischief and Hobo Junction Battle — clearing out exactly who was in rivalry with one another. You’ll want to hear what they have to say about this one.
