This is What Went Down at The Bank Sale Summer 2014

Rather than the trade shows more commonly known in the fashion industry like The Agenda Trade Show or the Magic Trade Show where brands become somewhat private marketplaces for contemporary apparel, footwear, accessories and sourcing resources; The Bank Sale [TBS] on the other hand doesn’t like to leave anyone out, as it is open to the public. As the premiere independent expo., TBS that gives opportunity for clothing and designing vendors to showcase their products to the masses of people who enter the event.

Founder, Sean Flores and Co-Founder Joe Verduzco, have flourished The Bank Sale from a 5-car parking lot near a Bank in 2012, to the venue of the Los Angeles Convention Center. This past weekend street wear brands drew their communities’ attention while Artist, Nipsey Hussle and his team headlined. The charismatic, DJ Carisma of POWER-106 helped rock the crowd throughout the day.

Side Note: The first year, TBS had TY$ on stage, so the excitement of who’s to come next season is sure to be kept under wraps.

TBS gives a chance for independent street wear brands to network with the public while the buyers can see first hand how the general consumer responds to each line. Flores and Verduzco continue to creatively think outside of the box, in hopes that the Expo. cultivates itself organically in becoming a staple opportunity for independent brands to gain more exposure in the right marketplace.

The next Bank Sale is set for February 2015 and with headlining performances that we’ve seen the last 2-years, Sway’s Universe has exclusive word from Flores himself, that we are sure to not be disappointed.
