The Rob Report: Rob Markman Rates Nipsey Hussle's "Mailbox Money" a 7.5/10

What’s up citizens this ya guy Rob Markman with The Rob Report, where we break down music for the game’s hottest artists. It’s a new year and we’re gonna have a ton of albums ahead of us, but we’re gonna start 2015 with Nipsey Hussle’s Mailbox Money

Nip found true independence selling his Crenshaw album for $100 a pop to dedicated fans. On Mailbox Money he up’d the ante charged $1000 for physical CDs, but you can’t put a price on good music, right? Nip sets it off right with “Killa” “A Hunnit A Show” and “Status Symbol.” That on “Count up that Loot” he breaks down his hustle and even gives big homie sway a shout.

When it comes to beats and rhymes Nip got it locked. He knows what he sounds good over and exactly how to flow over each selection. Still some of the hooks and features could have been tighter. “Only A Case” is dope, but that chorus brings it down.

Mailbox Money isn’t perfect, but it’s damn good. I’ma give it a 7.5 out of 10, but that’s just my thoughts. Hit me on Twitter @Robmarkman let me know what you think. I talk back.
