The Rob Report: Rob Markman Rates Joey Bada$$'s Album a 7.5 Out of 10

What’s up citizens this ya guy Rob Markman with The Rob Report, where we break down music for the game’s hottest artists. Last week we rocked with are Sremmurd’s Sremmlife and this week we’re headed to my hometown Brooklyn, New York to bump Joey Bada$$’ B4.da$$

While B4.da.$$ excels with a 2015 version of boom bap, it also suffers because it doesn’t take very many chances. On “Christ Conscious” Joey flexes lyrical muscles, but doesn’t really take us anywhere musically. Once you’ve heard the song once, there isn’t much reason to hit the rewind button.

B4.da.$$ is a strong start for an MC who has a bright future ahead as long as he continues to grow musically. I’ma give Joey’s first shot a 7.5 out of 10, maybe it’s my brooklyn bias, but this is dope. What do you think Hit me on Twitter @Robmarkman I talk back.
