The Cast of “Barbershop: The Next Cut” Share Hilarious Stories From Their Time in Barbershops and Salons + Breaks Down the New Movie

This Friday, April 15th, marks the start of the 3rd installment of the “Barbershop” movie series with “Barbershop: The Next Cut.” Starring the like of Ice Cube, Common, Regina Hall, Eve, Cedric The Entertainer and many many more talented actors and actresses, we were blessed with by the presence of the afore mentioned stars for a town hall session at the Sirius XM studios.

Shining the light on real issues that are taking place in the city of Chicago where the movie is based and blending them with comedy, the filmmaker’s and cast’s approach to this movie is incredibly refreshing.

Beyond just the film, the crew has been spotlighting the day to day life in barbershops specifically in Chicago. Hailing them as a safe place for residents to come and hang out the cast breaks down the serious nature of staying off the streets while keeping things light with real life stories of their experience in barbershops and salons. From Cedric The Entertainer joking that they were the origin of online shopping to Ice Cube recalling guys coming into the shop selling clothes from a trunk, these actors truly know the ins and outs of the business — something that Ice Cube and the rest of the crew were very adamant about.

From real life experiences to chemistry on the set we hear all the actors speak on their love for each other and how this experience has brought them closer together. They go from breaking down specific instances in the movie to joking about working past Common’s guard dogs and trailer locks after winning an Academy Award for “Glory.”

It’s great to see so many established personalities come together for a good cause and that is what this cast is continually doing during the filming and promoting process. Check out the full Town Hall special above and make sure to show support to “Barbershop: The Next Cut” this Friday!
