Terrace Martin Puts A Jazzy Mix On Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright”

If you’re not already familiar with Terrace Martin, he’s a super talented producer and multi-instrumentalist from LA who uses samples from funk and jazz to soul and even classical.  He’s worked with Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Stevie Wonder, YG, Travis Scott, and the list goes on.  Today, he decided to drop his remix to Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” via Soundcloud.

The usual hard bass in the original song is replaced with a piano and a beautiful saxophone solo.  Somehow Terrace Martin found a way to let us groove, but didn’t take away from the impact of the song.  Listen below and let us know what you think.  Check out Terrace Martin’s album 3ChordFold here.  *I suggest “Angel” or “Ab Soul’s Intro” featuring Ab-Soul*
