TBT Sway Speaks To Vince Staples About His Creative Process, Growing Up In Long Beach & Performing With Common

Vince Staples has been making serious waves as of late with the announcement of his upcoming album “Summertime ’06” and dropping a video to his Future and Snoh Aalegra assisted banger “Señorita.”

Since the calendar shows Thursday we figured we would take it back a few months to hear what the Def Jam signee had to say  to Sway about his creative process before the release of “Hell Can Wait.”

Outlining his childhood, Staples reveals that he was a good student and even drops some knowledge on us with an in studio spelling test.

Staples also opens up about his creative process and how he was better able to access the things he needed to make “Hell Can Wait.”  The Long Beach native also speaks on why the project was delayed due to clearing samples and his incredible experience performing alongside Common.

Check out the full interview and hot freestyle below and make sure to keep your eyes out for “Summertime ’06.”
