Sy Ari Da Kid Talks Being a Cash Money Signee + Get in the Game: Jay Dot Deep

He’s made over 20 mixtapes and a couple months ago dropped his latest album B4 the Heartbreak, which features Bryson Tiller and Tink. Atlanta-based singer and rapper Sy Ari Da Kid came by Sway in the Morning to talk about his new deal with Cash Money Records and his project 2 SOON, due out April 25th. The rising emcee speaks about the importance of choosing a label that best fit his needs as an artist and businessman.

Sy Ari also introduces us to his long-time friend and fellow ATL-raised rapper Jay Dot Deep. Jay Dot opens up about some of the hardships he’s endured from being homeless to his brother committing suicide in 2010. He explains the role that music has played in dealing with these circumstances and details this on his project Resistence, which is available now on iTunes.
