Subway Suspends Ties With Spokesman Jared Fogel

Going from regular Joe to 5-dollar-foot-long hero, Jared Fogle became famous after his weight-loss transformation turned him into the commercial face of Subway. Now the longtime spokesman is being seen in another light, after the police entered and searched his home following the arrest of an associate on child pornography charges.

Officials from the U.S. Postal Service, Indiana State Police and the FBI invaded Fogle’s home on Tuesday morning, retrieving numerous documents and electronic items throughout the day. So far no comment has been made from authorities regarding what the investigation is exactly about.

“Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges and looks forward to its conclusion. He has not been detained, arrested or charged with any crime or offense,” said Fogle’s attorney Ron Elberger via email.

Subway has made their own statement on the situation explaining that for now they will be “suspending their relationship” with Fogle during the investigation.
