SU Spotlight: Frak Puts on for the Bay Area with Hilarious Hip-Hop Parody

Like Sway, Frak hails from the Bay-Area, and has come up through the MC Olympics and rap battles across the Bay. The above video is his newest joint, “Rapping Bout Rap,” which makes fun of today’s rap game, and more importantly, today’s rap fan in the internet age. He doesn’t hold back on any sub-genre of rap, from the conscious rapper to the fake G to the frat rapper, and his effective mix of humor and bars does the job.

The track is from his “Bagels” mixtape, a 13-track hip-hop baker’s dozen, covering a wide range of styles and flows. The tape had over 100,000 listens on the web, and featured cosigns from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Zion I, Watsky, Shad, Big Rich & more. How did he cop a Kendrick cosign? Watch below
