Spotify To Block Free Users From Listening to Major Releases

The world of music streaming is changing, are your ready? Today the word on the e-streets is that Spotify will no longer allow their free tier users access to major releases. The news comes in a new report from The Financial Times. According to the report Spotify is nearing a deal with labels from Sony, Warner, and Universal that will essentially make all of their top and new releases on the platform available only to paying customers.

While the agreement and terms have not been disclosed to the public yet, Spotify is one of the only streaming services that offer a free tier, as their competitors like TIDAL and Apple Music do not offer. Speak your thoughts on the news below and stay tuned for much more on this coming soon.
