Soundset 2015: Vince Staples Aims For His Performances To Be As Great As Michael Jackson + Life Experiences Shaping His Music

Long Beach native Vince Staples made his way to Minnesota for Soundset Festival and brought an astounding live show with him.  Performing hits from his 2014 project “Hell Can Wait” along with new tracks such as “Señorita” which features Future and Snoh Aalegra.  We had the pleasure to sit down with Vince and get his thoughts on the crowd and his performance.

The footage proves that Vince had the crowd booming as he made a few valiant stage diving efforts, at one point being held in a sitting position high above the endless sea of fans.  But the surprising thing was that Vince told us his performance was on 9 as he aims to wow crowds like Kanye, Azealia Banks, Aerosmith and other acts that people will remember seeing live for the rest of their lives.  Vince also speaks on the evolution of his music and how everything should change the way you go about making records.

You can keep up with Vince Staples on his website as well as on Twitter @vincestaples, his “Summertime ’06” project hits stores June 30th.  Stay tuned right here for more exclusive Soundset Festival content!
