Slum Village Keep It Funky With "Expressive" Featuring BJ The Chicago Kid, Illa J and Production From J Dilla

Slum Village continues to provide quality, funky vibes after many years in the business.  Their new track “Expressive” is no different as they recruit one of R&B’s hottest new stars, BJ The Chicago Kid, to compliment a classic J Dilla production.  The track also features J Dilla’s younger brother Illa J to provide some quality bars.  The familiarity and ease at which these talents come together is undeniable.

Slum Village’s upcoming album “Yes!” is less than a month away with a release date of June 16.  The album will feature some of former Slum Village member J Dilla’s original production, something you do not want to miss.  It will also feature the likes of De La Soul, Black Milk, Phife Dawg, Jon Connor and Bilal.  Check out the brand new cut below as well as BJ The Chicago Kid on Sway In The Morning.
