Slim Thug Opens Up About Boss Life: New Album, Managing Money & Charity Work in Houston

Taking Boss Life to the next level, Houston rapper Slim Thug has been paving his own lane as an independent artist for years. With his forthcoming album, “Hogg Life Vol, 4: American King” due out on Friday, August 5th he join Sway in the Morning to speak with Heather B and Tracy G.

Talking about the culture of Houston and their love of food and restaurants Slim Thug jokes about the different between fat and thick. Currently going through a cleanse that coincidentally ends the day his album drops, Slim Thug opens up about eating healthier and giving up both weed and alcohol.

Going through life living and learning as an independent artist he opens up to Tracy and Heather about being cheap as he lets out a laugh. Only hanging out with bosses and staying clear of the strip club he says he’s never had a financial advisor because he’s smart with his money. Venturing out into other areas of work Slim Thug also distributes clothing and helps build affordable housing in the inner-city of Houston.

Continuing on about his city he speaks on diversity and the possibility of an album with fellow Houston legend Z-Ro. Revealing that the album is done he says they’re waiting on label clearance and hope to have it out by February.

Watch the full interview above and head to iTunes to pre-order “Hogg Life, Vol. 4: American King” before it drops on Friday.
