Skeme Breaks Down "Ingleworld 2" with DJ Drama, Using Autotune, Song About his Son & Freestyles Live

DJ Drama has help build the careers of some of rap’s biggest stars and next in line for Drama and Gangsta Grillz is Skeme.  The Inglewood, California native stopped by Sway in the Morning with DJ Drama himself to break down his new project “Ingleworld 2.”

Our last encounter with Skeme was at SXSW where he revealed he had a big part in writing Iggy Azalea hit record “Fancy.”  We hear more this time about how Skeme got involved in ghost writing and what his process is for different artists he writes for.

From there Skeme covers a wide range of topics from his new project and why he decided to experiment with autotune (Future may have been involved), his song “Khalil’s Song” that is for his son as well as working in the studio with the likes of T.I., BJ The Chicago Kid and YOung Thug.

We also hear Skeme’s take on gang culture and his thoughts of raising a son around it.  From there Sway, Skeme and DJ Drama discuss hip-hop being a sport that should have a good amount of competition as they give their top 5 in the game.

To wrap things up Skeme takes to the mic spit a few bars complete with DJ Drama ad-libs.  Check out the full interview below and if you haven’t already grab “Ingleworld 2” on Datpiff or iTunes.
