Skeme – Anyways

Inglewood, California rapper Skeme ventured into the music industry with what Dj Drama referred to as an “A+ rapper kit,” during Sway’s 2015 SXSW Takeover. Through the success of “Pistols and Palm Trees,” “Inglewood,” and ghost writing on classic hits like Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” it’s safe to say that Skeme is doing a great job maintaining that GPA!

The success of “Fancy” is a clear indication of Skeme’s versatility as an artist. While the pop hit worked out GREAT for Azalea, Skeme stays true to his West Coast roots in the production of his own work. Skeme’s newly premiered track “Anyways” takes us to his block in Inglewood where he assures listeners that he’s never afraid to get his hands dirty working for what he wants, regardless of what naysayers may feel.

Earlier this year, Skeme collaborated with Dj Drama to produce “Inglewood 2,” a sequel to his original “Inglewood” mixtape where he says he was heavily influenced by Dirty Sprite man Future. Easily appreciated by any hardcore hip hop lover, “Inglewood 2” includes features from artists like Bj the Chicago Kid, The Game, Young Thug and T.I., to name a few.

While Skeme has not given word on when we can expect an album, he certainly has gifted the industry with a lot of gems this year! Download “Inglewood 2” here, and check out “Anyways” below!
