Sean Price Voice Lives on in "Planet Apes"

The hip hop world took an unexpected punch to the gut last week as news that Sean Price had passed away in Brooklyn quickly spread. As the somber reality hit each and every person in a different way, it seems we were all able to find comfort in the one thing that led us to him in the first place…his music.

As his full length project ‘Songs In The Key Of Price‘ is still scheduled to be released August 21st, we get some of that grit missing to many when it comes to modern hip hop in the form of “Planet Apes”. As a member of Heltah Skeltah his contribution to music will forever stand and continues to live on as we get more music from the Duck Down family. Moments like these force a younger generation of us fans and artists alike to look back to the early roots, history and progression of the genre we all love and enjoy…or at least should.

Make sure to grab his full project via iTunes and if you would like to make a contribution to his family, feel free to do so right here.
