Quvenzhané Wallis Discusses Meeting Beyonce, Favorite Part of Filming "Annie" & Going To A Normal School

With her recent work as the lead in the new “Annie” film which comes out on DVD today, 11-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis joins Sway In The Morning to talk about her exciting life as a child star.

Humbly stunting about having 6-years experience in the industry, Wallis discusses her process of memorizing lines.  From practicing with family to remembering a funny part and going from there it is easy to see that no matter which way Wallis memorizes her lines she does it with ease and passion.

Taking questions from Sway’s daughter, Wallis shares some fun facts about herself from her favorite book, summer activity and even her favorite ice cream.  From there we hear what it was like for 11-year-old Wallis to meet some of her idols in Zendaya and Beyonce.

We also hear that working with the incredible cast was Wallis’ favorite part about filming “Annie.”  From Cameron Diaz’ mother like tendencies to the humor brought by Jamie Foxx, it seems as though going to work every day was a great time for Quvenzhane.

From film to reality, Wallis reveals that she does indeed go to a normal school and have real homework, don’t worry though as she’s never cheated on a test (she promises).  With college in her sights and science as her favorite subject we are confident that Quvenzhane Wallis has a very bright future ahead of her.  You can check out the interview in its entirety below, enjoy!
