Queens is still producing quality rappers. There is a long legacy of true lyricist that have come out of Q-boro, like Nas, MC Shan, Kool G Rap, Prodigy and Pharoahe Monch. And now there is a new wave emerging. While other markets are concerned about losing its voice to mumble rap, Queens is still holding it down for the golden age of hip -hop, and TR3 is a prime example.
His debut album Rome Wasn’t has all the elements of a solid showing for an ambitious young emcee. The album is 12 tracks of some dope boom bap hip-hop that would make A Tribe Called Quest happy. Peep the album below.
