Planet Asia Recalls Recording with the Late Sean Price, Says a lot of New Music is like Hot Garbage + Goes off the Top for a Crazy 5 Fingers of Death Freestyle

It’s sad to say that there has been a bit of a shortage of bars as of late, especially off the top of the head. So it’s always refreshing to have someone stop by and cause havoc on the 5 Fingers of Death and even more so when we’re graced by an artist that shows up and shows out time and time again.

Hailing from Fresno, Planet Asia was first introduced to the radio waves by Sway and King Tech on The Wake Up Show. He recalls this pivotal moment in his career while speaking on recording with the late Sean Price a month before he passed. Speaking volumes about his amazing role as a father, Planet Asia also revealed that the two sometimes struggled to get work done with the constant laughter happening in the studio.

Speaking on signing to Interscope in 2000, Planet Asia talks about his short stay at the label before starting his own titled Gold Chain Music. Publishing over 500 songs in his career he jokes about learning of movies and television placements for the first time when receiving the check.

From recalling old times to speaking on the present Planet Asia talks about new music sounding a lot like hot garbage. Outlining that artists shouldn’t rap over their own vocals live, he also jokes that no rapper should have a writer unless they’re performing in a musical.

Before absolutely tearing up the 5 Fingers of Death we hear Planet Asia speak on cutting down the violence in his hometown and how others can do the same in their cities.
