Philly’s Scholito Talks New Roth Childs Signing to Roc Nation + New Album ‘Streets Ain’t Safe, Vol. 1’

Philly’s very own Scholito made quite the intro on Sway in the Morning as he entered the valley of the hyenas. We talked to ‘Lito and Freeway about their team’s dynamic and signing their New Roth Childs Company under Jay Z’s Roc Nation.

Scholito breaks down the meaning behind their company name. He explains that he was in awe of Amschel Rothchild’s family because they represented power and wealth. Although he admired the family’s lifestyle, Scholito tells us that he didn’t want to follow their practices. “I believe in if you get to a certain point where you are fortunate enough to help change the world, then I believe that you should do that.”

Scholito talks about how reading and having thoughtful conversations influences his music. His newest project Streets Ain’t Safe, Vol. 1 is out now. He tells us that Vol. 2 is being mixed and coming out very soon.
