The aspiring EGOT artist recently who signed to UTA recounted his journey from the schools of Prince George’s County, Maryland to Broadway stages like “Legally Blonde,” Cinderella” and eventually “MJ: The Musical.” His success was no accident; it was fueled by his remarkable mother Charmayne Strayhorn who moved her family from a predominantly Black school with limited opportunities in search for better educational prospects. Now he stands among an elite group at the forefront of excellence in entertainment industry.
