If you’re an eighties baby, chances are you remember Nickelodeon in it’s heyday, when shows like Clarissa Explains It All, Ren & Stimpy, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, All That, CatDog, Doug and other classics ruled the airwaves.
Now it looks as if a familiar classic is finally returning to the screen, after it was revealed that 90s favorite Hey Arnold is being brought back for a TV movie. Focusing on a group of inner city kids, the show used fresh humor to tackle everything from poverty to tolerance without coming off as “too cartoonish.”
Reportedly in the early stages of development, though few details have been released Nickelodeon has confirmed that it will indeed be revived. Speaking to Variety, president of content development and production Russell Hicks revealed, “Kids who grew up on these characters are now of the age that they are having kids and families themselves.”
