Mobb Deep & Skyzoo Open Up about Hip Hop Today VS. 20 Years Ago

Mobb Deep has been relevant and influential in Hip-Hop for over 20 years, and its clear while in-studio on Sway in the Morning.

Preparing for the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival in NYC on July 8-11, the duo talked about what fans can expect at the huge music event. They’ll be sharing the stage with heavy hitters like Common, Freeway, Charles Hamilton and more — an event you don’t want to miss.

Over the years, 15 projects in, Prodigy and Havoc have grown and admit they’re “More professional than before. We’ve tightened up. [We] keep good ties with people and work hard.”

If you’re anticipating a new Mobb Deep album, you’ll be getting it a year from now — but in the mean time Prodigy plans on dropping a project titled, “RIP.”

Skyzoo was also in-studio and talked about his new music. Specifically, his track with Bilal and Black Thought. He also opened up about advice and insight from Bilal.
