Miss USA Deshauna Barber Speaks on Dealing with Sexism, Going on a Date With Drake + Choosing Fighting for This Country Over the Crown

It’s a Sway in the Morning tradition to have the newly crowned Miss USA come by the studio following their life changing win and this year is no different as we are joined by the lovely Deshauna Barber. Speaking on her military background and upbringing she opens up about her rather normal life up to this point.

Being discovered at her summer job at Target at the age of 19 by someone incredibly passionate about pageants she opens up about what this woman meant to her as she passed away before she was able to see Barber win the crown.

During the rest of her time she opens up about being a commander in the army reserves and how she deals with sexism when faced with it. She also speaks on giving up the crown if need be to serve her country.

Before leaving she plays Miss USway with DB as she picks which rapper she would want to go on a date with.
