Mick Jenkins Drops a Powerful Visual For “Drowning” Featuring BadBadNotGood

After releasing his single “Spread Love” last week and announcing an upcoming album The Healing Component, Mick Jenkins seems about ready to show the world how dope he is.  He decided to release a powerful video for “Drowning” featuring BadBadNotGood.

Directed by Nathan Smith, the visual shows Mick Jenkins almost drowning, but is able to pick himself back up out of the water.  This track has more of a blues undertone and is set in the times of slavery.  The plot is pretty straightforward, but the uplifting result can be applied to pretty much anything in our life today.  Watch the video below and check out the tracklisting for his upcoming project The Healing Component, set to drop September 23.
