Sure the Oakland Raiders may be planning a big move to Las Vegas, but that is a few years away. Today they are back in the news feed, this time around shaking up the world of football right now. Today the word on the interwebs and in the world of sports is that Marshawn Lynch will return and will return as an Oakland Raider. Beast Mode left his mark on the game as a Seattle Seahawk, winning a championship ring and providing some memorable moments in the process.
He called it quits before the beginning of last season and took a year off. He returns to his hometown team after his time away from the game, and he was traded to the Raiders for a draft pick switch. The running back took to Twitter to share his excitement stating: “Yes Lawd 12th man I’m thankful but shit just got REAL I had hella fun in Seattle… But I’m really from Oakland doe like really really really from Oakland doe… town bizzness breath on me.” While there is no official word on the contrast, NFL.com reports that “Oakland agreed to pay Lynch a $3 million [USD] base, with a chance to make $2 million [USD] more if he gains 1,000 yards. The max value of the contract is $8.5 million [USD.” You know the drill, give us your thoughts below and look for the return of Beast Mode to the gridiron this coming NFL season!
