Marlon Craft could’ve left 2021 alone after dropping How We Intended back in February because that project had everything you want from a dope album. And a lot of artists are content with letting one piece of work ride out as long as it can. But Craft still has his foot on the gas and shows no signs of letting up with his recent collaboration with producer Yusei for the 7-track album, Space.
We have seen this type of one-to-one collaboration a lot lately from the All Hail Y.T. x Benji Socrate$ or Benny The Butcher and Harry Fraud projects. With Space, Craft stays true to form marrying true lyricism over smooth jazzy beats with live instrumentation. Some standout records are “Off The Knob”, which got a video treatment we featured earlier in the month. And “Cheap Date” was the next video off the project, where Craft pokes fun at the dating scene today.
Marlon is continuing to put out solid quality work which will have him as a household name, at least to the fans of lyricism. But hopefully, everyone catches up to what he is doing. Space is available on all streaming platforms. Check it out below.
