Listen To The Faze Freestyle Over Top of Some Legendary GZA

If you have not yet gotten familiar with the sounds of The Faze, you are missing out. Today the California native is back, this time around serving up a new freestyle for our listening enjoyment. The track is called “The Black Slim Shady” and finds The Faze offering up a dose of his talents over top of GZA’s “Duel Of The Iron Mic.” The clip finds the rapper pulling influence from Eminem videos like “Without Me” and “Cleaning Out My Closet. Speaking about the offering, The Faze stated: “‘The Black Slim Shady’ is 100% the Slim Shady character just from my perspective.”

He went on to add that “It’s probably the track I had the most fun making while creating the Liquid Swords project. With Eminem being my biggest influence I wanted to capture what the Slim Shady character would have to say in 2017. Even though we love this character for being funny and controversial, there was a social message in the art as well that was always overlooked due to the color of the content. So that’s where the ISIS reference stems from.” Check out the intriguing new track in the stream below and give us your thoughts in the comments below. Keep it locked for much more from The Faze coming soon.
