Lin-Manuel Miranda Talks Puerto Rico Relief Efforts and Freestyles the ‘5 Fingers of Death’

Award winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda stopped by Sway In The Morning for a perfectly timed interview as he is right in the middle of his efforts to help get Puerto Rico back to where it should be.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Almost Like Praying” was written and recorded to benefit hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico with proceeds benefiting The Hispanic Federation’s Unidos Disaster Relief Fund.

Miranda also couldn’t escape Sway In The Morning without freestyling. He took on the 5 Fingers of Death challenge and it turned out to be a statement reinforcing his position on getting the Hamilton rights back from the Weinstein Company a d expressing is disdain for Harvey Weinstein. It was extremely entertaining
