Lil Wayne posted a photo to Twitter of him and the President and it set Twitter on fire. Lil Wayne wrote, “Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.” He captioned the photo on Twitter seemingly endorsing Donald Trump.
Lil Wayne is getting the same type of backlash that other artist in the Hip hop has received. Ice Cube, who didn’t endorse Trump, caught a lot of flack , because of his help with Trump’s Platinum Plan and the timing of the announcement, right before the election. 50 Cent seemed to be endorsing Trump but later denounced him on Instagram.
