Actor, musician, and Sway in the Morning’s “sixth man off the bench,” Kevin Bacon is back on the show to talk about his new series “I Love Dick” and the importance of being selective with the roles he takes. He breaks down the three things he avoids when determining if a part is right for him: the size of the part, the size of the budget, and the size of the salary. “I’ve always liked to do experimental stuff, like stuff that’s a little outside the box, that touches on subjects that maybe wouldn’t work in a mainstream situation.” His new series “I Love Dick,” which will be available on Amazon beginning May 12, is anything but mainstream. The show will look into the complications of emotional and physical infidelity as well as different versions of sexuality.
Bacon also spoke about some of the highlights of this year’s MTV Movie and TV Awards. He praised the awards how for creating as gender neutral acting award, but recognized that it would probably limit the number of nominees. Bacon was impressed by Moonlight stars Jharrel Jerome and Ashton Sanders, who won the award for Best Kiss.
