Kamaiyah Talks New Album ‘Got It Made’, Sexuality and GRND.WRK Label

Bay Area legend Kamaiyah just dropped her latest album “Got It Made”, which is her first since the 2017 release of Before I Wake. She glowingly stopped by Sway In The Morning to visit her fellow Oakland native and gave us a glimpse into her newly independent life after parting ways with YG’s 4 Hunnid Records and doing things under her own label GRND.WRK.

No topic was off the table, which was amazing for those that are unfamiliar with her work. Because in one interview you could get a sense of what her sound has developed from, growing up in Oakland with a hustlers mentality, being bi-sexual and dealing with the streets. She even spoke on the shooting incident that she was charged with and secretly did time for. Watch the interview below.

Got It Made a solid 10-track 30 minute album features fellow Bay-Areans J. Espinosa, Capolow. And the lead single “Set It Up” features Miami’s own, Trina. Watch the video below.
