Jon Stewart Finds Eric Garner Verdict "Utterly Depressing"

Comedy Central host and comedian Jon Stewart took to the air yesterday to voice his frustration at the grand jury decision not to bring charges against the officer responsible for the choking death of Eric Garner.

In a poignant moment on The Daily Show, he took a more somber tone as he directly addressed the situation stating V”I don’t know. I honestly don’t know what to say.”

He added,  “If comedy is tragedy plus time, I need more f—ing time, but I would really settle for less f—ing tragedy. I think what is so utterly depressing is that none of the ambiguities that existed in the Ferguson case exist in the Staten Island case and yet the outcome is exactly the same: No crime, no trial, all harm, no foul.”
