TV legend John Amos stopped by Sway In The Morning and spoke to us about his upcoming book and what has led him to this point.
The Newark-native began by explaining the root of his departure with Good Times. Amos had issues with the script-writing of the mostly-white writers of the show. He continually voiced his critiques of the script, which were not appreciated by the team. This led to his release before the start of season four.
His latest project, A World Without Color, is a children’s book about racial division. The story follows a child in a town called Blakesville. Blakesville, and everyone in the town, are grey. Through interaction, the characters begin to bring color into their lives.
Check out the full interview above and get the details on more of his upcoming projects.
