Jarren Benton Says Hopsin Never Retired From Rap + Does a Lyrical Breakdown of "Diamonds & Fur" & Freestyles Live

With his “Slow Motion” EP dropping on iTunes this week, Funk Volume’s Jarren Benton stopped by the Sway In The Morning studios to address rumors that Hopsin quit rap, break down the lyrics to his “Diamonds & Fur” track and spit a crazy freestyle!

Straight from the ATL, Benton speaks on the lack of balance in his hometown.  With an incredible admiration for his city we also hear Benton name some of his favorite spitters that are holding it down for Atlanta including Childish Gambino and Cyhi Da Prynce.

Speaking on his past and getting everything together on the road to being a successful rapper, Benton reassures people going through the struggle that there’s no reason a rapper can’t have a job as well.  Benton also enters Sway’s lyrical breakdown ring for clarification on “Diamonds & Fur.”

The Funk Volume emcee ends his trip by blessing the mic with a crazy freestyle, let us know if you think he passes the ‘real emcee’ test.
