Even if you had absolutely no interest in watching the Eagles destroy the Giants during Monday Night Football, if you’re a Star Wars fan all eyes were on the new trailer to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” (Well played NFL.) Set in a galaxy far far away, or at least a few decades after “Return of the Jedi,” the final clip shows a world in which the Jedi are nothing more than a near forgotten myth.
It’s a new age for heroes Princess Leia and fan favorite Han Solo, who has to explain to newcomers, Rey and Finn, that “It’s true, all of it. The Dark Side. The Jedi. They’re real.”
With Darth Vadar nothing more than a memory, it looks as if Kylo Ren will take over the fight to eliminate the last survivors of the Rebellion, along with any Jedi’s that may have survived. We’ll assume this would include Luke Skywalker, though he’s not featured in this preview.
