Lil Wayne took to Twitter this weekend to let off some steam about his current label situation with Birdman. In a series of three cryptic tweets the NOLA native hinted at retirement but told his fans that he’s still good. While this sent fans and rap lovers alike scrambling and sharing their fondest memories of Wayne and what he’s given to the culture, some of the biggest artists in the world reached out for support.
The like of Chance The Rapper, Rich Homie Quan and Drake showed their support. But one of the most interesting responses came from Rick Ross as many urged the MMG boss to buy out Wayne’s contract from Birdman. While we don’t think Wayne will be done for good, we hope that his label issues are resolved quickly so we can have more Weezy knocking out of our speakers. Look through the tweets and Instagram posts below.

The boss @liltunechi. We are fighting until you get yours. Freedom to drop music and peace of mind. I don’t know what these other weirdos are on with all the side talks but I know you gave me a shot and all I can ever do with the rest of my life is return the favor. YOUNG MONEY FOREVER
