Innanet James Is In His “Bag” In The Latest Soundtrack For Madden NFL ’19

About a week ago, EA Sports released their official (Hip Hop heavy) soundtrack for Madden NFL ’19. As you scroll through the list, you may find that most tracks are from names we’ve heavily featured here on swaysuniverse.com, but one name stood out which we haven’t heard from before.

His name is Innanet James. He’s a D.C. native with a soft spoken raspy tone, but a rhythmic genius he proves to be in his featured song titled, “Bag.” At a fresh age of just 22-years old, Innanet James is placed amongst a roster of heavy-hitters like Anderson .Paak, P-Lo, Yo Gotti, A$AP Ferg, Migos and of course, Cardi B.

Making his first debut 3-years ago on Soundcloud, Innanet James was merely 19-years old (at the time) as he released the most underrated track of the millennial generation called, “Black” listen to a few bars below:

In a previous interview with Pitchfork early in his career, James spoke in regards to the feel-good and empowering anthem, stating:

I don’t know nothing else for my life. I love music, so that’s all I want to do.

He continues, “If I could give people that feeling, then I’m happy.”

In an obvious need to keep the art of his music pure, Innanet James has been open with not wanting to be too thirsty to get to ‘the top’ — rather, he prefers to be slow-to-climb in the pursuit of his dream. Fast-forward-to his latest track, “Bag” he raps:

I’m really just running from money / I’m love flow-Joe, chasin’ the check.

As the newest voice to sign to Rostrum Recordsthis young man is proving himself, to be worthy of hitting the mics of the hottest festivals around.

Additional info. Official Madden NFL ’19 Soundtrack:

Having grown up the youngest of 4, in a 1-bedroom apartment with both of my grandparents, while my parents worked 2 jobs to keep just enough rice and sardine's on our table; I have essentially always been around a lot of noise and chaos most of my life. With that curse, it was accompanied by a blessing when I found that my only form of retreat for my thoughts was the type-writer & music in my ears. That passion and unconscious practice created my professional skills which eventually earned me a degree as a Broadcast Journalist. A dream I am determined to live out.
